Sorry Clark, but this video with The Shadows from YouTube is not from a 2006 performance, neither from The Final Tour of 2004 and 2005. It´s from a consert at Liverpool Empire in 1988, selebraiting the bands 30 year Anniversary. I have both of the actual DVDs. The DVD of 2004 is from the consert at Cardiff Indoor Arena and is a masterpiece in all respects.

You must catch up this DVD and listen to the 2004 version of Cavatina from the movie The Deer Hunter, among more than 40 other tunes! Firsts of all because the sound, and partly the playing as well, is mutch better than on the older DVD.

Terrific! I grew up in the UK and was more a Cliff and The Shadows fan than any Beatles. Cavatina is one of my favourite melodies, anyway, but never saw/heard them play this. Apache, Kon-Tiki and Atlantis are among my favourites of theirs. This was a pleasure…thanks! John Williams is also probably my favourite classical guitarists (after Segovia!)…Aranjuez being my top of my list.
